Bexley Jack and Jill Preschool

Parental Involvement

Active involvement by parents is encouraged to allow a smooth transition from home to preschool.

Parents are the child's first and most important teachers. We encourage ongoing dialogue with families as we observe each child's interests, strengths and needs and develop their learning goals.Educators and parents work in partnership to develop a program that will help each child reach their potential.

As a community-based organisation the preschool is run by a committee of parents elected from the Parent Body. Therefore, it is both necessary and desirable that parents take an active part in the running of the preschool. Parents can participate in the management of the Centre by attending meetings and perhaps holding a position on the Management Committee.

Parents are welcome in the Centre and can be involved by helping educators with the children and perhaps sharing a skill with the children.

Parental assistance with fund raising is also welcomed.
